I read through the sticky, but wasn't sure......
I will be tracking some guitars to get reamped by someone else pretty soon. Will the instrument input on my Mbox be sufficient for tracking the guitar and bass? Or will I be better off with a DI box going into the Mbox?

Yeah, the inst. in on the MBOX will work, but you'll almost certainly get higher quality using a dedicated DI box, especially active - the best bang-for-the-buck seems to be the Tapco DB-1A, so I'd pick one up for max quality! (and it DEFINITELY makes a difference in the quality of the re-amped tracks, trust me!)

Or actually, seeing as how Countryman Type 85's go for dirt cheap (like $120) all over ebay, that'd be my vote, well worth the extra cash!

Whats up man are these DI Tracks for some new Harkonin? Hope so.
And yeah def get a decent DI, I used to record DI's straight into my Firepod Inst In. Now its guitar+Di Box+preamp+FP10, And i gotta say its a huge difference when its time to re-amp.

There is quite a big difference between the instrument inputs on my Fast Track Ultra and my Countryman Type 85 when reamping so I'd pick up a used Countryman on eBay like Metaltastic said above, I got mine for half the price of a new one.

Hey Key! Yes they are. Finishing writing like 2-3 songs then time to record..... finally. I can send you a demo track if you want. When we're done we need to get a show together again:rock:

No prob. dude, happy to help! AND, if you haven't chosen anyone for re-amping duties yet... ;)

Well the guy that is mixing it is the one re-amping and I am pretty sure he has a dual rec. If not, I wouldn't mind getting a re-amp from one. even for just my own curiosity.
