NA shows went well, and...

Right on Dan!
That guy who kept crying and dissing you on this board is probably not old enough to go to the show...he's probably not old enough to drive, for that matter!

Well, it was an all-ages show, so, unless he's a fetus with an extraordinary grasp of English, he could've gotten in! (Stoned Again!)  ;)

Yes, evilholger, your best bet to see us is at Wacken. Even though we have reformed for some shows, we will not be doing any extensive touring. Did you see S.O.D. at Provinssi Rock (or whatever the hell it's called) in '99?

Any chance any American bands ever in their whole lifetime will come to SA. So far we have had Black Sabbath in 86', Lenny Kravitz with The Cult and GooGoo Dolls, Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi, Cryogenics, Cypress Hill, Bush(secret concert) and that's pretty much it. LOL. I guess our currency is too weak. It costs 10 rand to get 1 dollar. We were supposed to have Motorhead with Jerusalem(who the hell??) and Dio, but they cancelled at the last second because they were scared about Sep 11th. For fuck sakes get over it.

So it's 10 rand to $1 now? When I left S.A. it was 13.7R to $1 or something like that.
When I was in S.A., a glass of beer cost about 17R which is only like $1.30. That's CHEAP Guinness!!!!!! (In America, one pint of Guinness is about $6 or $7!)
Ringfinger- Does the "R" go in front of the amount or after the amount?

Stuff in Mexico is dirt cheap too.

I don't ever plan on going to Mexico.
My sister said Mexico smells like dirty diapers. I believe her.

 Diapers, huh?? Don't come to my house then!!!

We went twice five years ago (Rocky Point), and we loved it. The first time we went it was to get out of going to his sister's wedding, and it was awesome. Except that in our haste to jump in the truck and drive away, we didn't realize it was Spring Break weekend, and just barely found a hotel room in time, and still didn't realize why til we got out of this one bar (drunk, of course) and heard kids screaming KENTUCKY!!! TENNESSEE!!! and then looked around and saw all these college sweatshirts and drunk cheerleaders. But pesos are 7.5 = $1. So if a price tag says 75.00 it's really $10. I used to love Mexican food til I went there, and it is so much better down there than the shit you get up here that I don't want to eat it up here anymore (but I do, of course, being in Arizona). The most drunk I ever got was in Mexico. I started drinking right after breakfast and was passed out by 2 in the afternoon (drank again with dinner, of course). Drinking age is 18 down there, which is how old I was at the time. Mixed drinks and beer are cheap as hell (we both got shitfaced for about $20 total-each binge), but stay away from shit like JD, which was $40 for a small bottle because down there it's an import. Also, soda is nasty as hell cause it's way too sweet, but Gatorade and bottled water is safe. You can also order dolphin at restaurants (I still haven't forgiven my husband for that one) and oddly enough the best burger I ever had was in Mexico. You can also get prescription drugs for super cheap and no prescription (except steroids) so we stocked up like hell on all his asthma shit. They even have a PDR on the counter so you can show them what you want. I cracked a joke about Prozac while looking for Proventil and the girl ran and got this like industrial-bigger-than-Costco-sized bottle of Prozac, which tells me lots of Americans go down there just for that. Can't go to Rocky Point with kids though, cause all there is to do is drink and eat and drink some more. I'd go every fucking weekend if I could.

Brat where was that in Mexico, and does any one know what if the same rules apply in Cancun? I am headed down there in July for the first time and was wondering what to expect. Hopefully the spring break / summer vacation frat boy thing will be over by then.

Rocky Point = Puerto Penasco

By same rules apply do you mean drinking age being 18?? Yes, the whole country is like that. Money, too. I hear Cancun is a lot ritzier than Rocky Point is, fancier beaches and all that. Might cost more, but the pesos:dollars ratio is still the same.
