Bruce Springsteen rules. I only really got into him in 2002 - thank Ged for that, because it meant I got to go to his concert last year and it frickin' RULED. Best gig I've ever been to.

My contribution to this thread: erm... I can't really think of any off the top of my head. There are plenty I disliked but then grew to be able to tolerate, but I don't think I hated any of the bands that I consider to be in the upper echelons of rockingness. I'm sure someone out there would be able to suggest one, if they think they know me well enough.

I am not exactly a huge Springsteen fan or anything, but I used to really dislike him, but now I rock out to his songs when I hear them. I would buy a best of or something.
