Name that riff! (mp3 sample by me)

I don't know. But it sounds like the intro to an NES game interpreted for the guitar. Which is good.

risedfromthedead: I plug my v-amp into my pc's line in and mixed it in cool edit pro. it was just a quick job. you're correct with the lead tab, of course there is still the chords and clean section..

board: realwhatwhat? just right click and "save target as".

I assume you know what song this is?

well I am tuned to B flat so I play:

Bb|--4--0--6--4--2--0--2--6--4---------------------
F |--4--0--4--4--2--0--2--4--4--------------------
Bb|--4--0-----4--2--0--2------4------------------

Naturally each chord is strummed a few times.. this is merely the order in which they are played.

Thanks!
I just got cool edit from a friend. I dont know how record sounds to a sound. I want to play and here it in the same time I record the new stuff on it.

Any help?

there are two editions of cool edit. cool edit 2000 and cool edit pro. if it doesn't say pro, it doesn't have multitrack mode, which is what you are asking for. if it is the pro version, there is a button on the top left that looks like a soundwave, you click that and you will be in multitrack mode. from there you simply record-enable a track by pressing "R" to the left of the track, then for each additional track you add you will be able to hear what you already have as you add more.

if you don't have the right version you can obtain it from kazaa, bearshare or any other P2P program.

Tell me more about Forest of Shadows. I found the clip you posted to be cool sounding and went and downloaded Eternal Autumn. Seems like a very cool song...what album is best and what are some other good songs? Thanks.

I don't know much about them except that they have had a lot of exposure through mp3.com as an independant band, apparently noone picked them up until very recently and they are now recording their first full length album to be released in late 2002/ early 2003. I have only heard a handful of songs but they all seem to be pretty good. I first discovered them about a year ago.

But I must say that your version was better than the original :)
Its much better at the clean part and I didnt like their sound on the lead stuff.

Thanks...I had 2000 and not the pro version, that explain things...
