Dude totally. Fuck the Mavs, and I hope the Heat brings it back to knock Chicago out. I'm still speechless that Memphis, a team that barely made it into the playoffs, knocked out my Spurs who were #1 in the league for nearly the entire season until the last 2 games or so when Chicago caught up. Then again, it's nothing but old guys out there and were not playing like they were all season, just baffles me. Gotta love the sportsmanship from Boston and LA though!

I have been interested in the NBA since '96-97', being a German-American, so I guess i fall into the scheme. It has been opening up slightly over the years here in Germany due to stars like Dirk Nowitzki and before that Detlef Schrempf (Seattle Supersonics).
Anyway, I'm rooting for the Chicago Bulls, being an ol' mid-eastern boy and them bein' the neighbours of Kentucky. GO BULLS!
I'll be honest, I actually look forward to Dallas being in the finals. I haven't decided if I would rather see it be against Chicago or Miami though.
About the Mavs... really my hatred for the Mavericks is not the team itself, but rather the owner - Mark Cuban. Dude is a total piece of shit douchebag that is full of nothing but bullshit. It especially irritates me when he talks shit about other teams and their cities. For example when he talks shit about San Antonio, the city, publicly to the press/media. The funny thing is, the dude has owned the team for 11 years now and they have been to the finals ONCE - they lost. They have never won a championship, yet the Spurs have won 4. We also have 4x more conference titles and nearly 6x as many division titles. Suck it Mark Cuban. Keep talking shit, it's hard to hear you over the sound of our championship trophies.

That said, Dirk is a monster player, one-of-a-kind and is the foundation of that team. Without him they would not be where they are this season. He does deserve to finally win one, the way they are playing they certainly have a great shot at it.
P.S. I wish their coach would wear an Ace Ventura wig just fucking once!

Mavs vs. the Thunder - tough call. I love the way both Durant and Nowitzki play and Kidd DOES deserve a title. Bottom line for me though is the Bulls really took a shit on the league this year and showed much more class while doing it than the Heat did throughout (not to mention just being a better TEAM overall; Watson, Brewer, Asik, GIBSON, Thomas... they've all made great plays over the coarse of the season and contribute much to the teams success). The Thunder really stepped up as well as great contenders worthy of the not just the playoffs, but the finals as well. And the Mavs, I completely agree with 006's comments on their owner, yet I still have a great respect for their players. Like I said earlier, tough call. I am still LOVING this season so far, its been an awesome and very interesting year for the NBA overall!
