Honestly I haven't A/B'ed the BX8's with the TR8's, so I don't know which way it would go. From when I used the TR8's I would have to say it could go either way. The best thing for you to do is find a store that has both pairs setup and just play some cd's through it that you like and see which one sounds better to you.
