'Laguz - Within the Lake' is the debut album from Nebelhexe, a new project by Andrea Haugen, who earlier recorded some interesting music with her band called Hagalaz' Runedance.
There are sitill a lot of elements of Hagalaz' Runedance style: folk influences, 'ritual' atmosphere and of course Andrea's voice. But there is also a great difference: while Hagalaz' Runedance playd acoustic folk/medieval music, Nebelhexe plays rock. There are gothic, industrial and cold wave influences and it really works!
The best songs are the title track, "Totems" and - decidedly the heaviest - "Celtic Crows".
It's quite original music and it's very nice to listen to, it refreshes after listening to the more typical sounds.
