Hey guys,

I've decided to give up trying to mix my band's new demo myself, I just don't know what I'm doing anymore. I'm looking for a natural and atmospheric sound, i.e. easy on the compression, no drum samples. This is nothing like modern metal; not sure what how to define the music, exactly, but it's kind of like mid-period Katatonia but more rockin' and also some goth and post-rock type things thrown in there.

The demo has five songs (a couple of them are pretty long, 7+ min).

Got a good-sounding drum kit recorded to a click track onto ten channels or so. There are a couple of spots where the drum performance is not as tight as it could be, and I would like to have those cleaned up if possible. In general this is not the type of music that needs to be super precise and quantized, though.

DI tracks for guitar and bass. Two rhythm tracks (L/R) + leads, cleans and whatever. I think at most there are five guitar tracks going at once.

One of the songs from the session, "Crosses", is here:

This is a pretty terrible quick-and-dirty mix, but at least you can kind of hear what the music is like. The vocals are due to be re-recorded soon, too, so pay no mind if they're a bit off here.

The session is not actually 100% ready yet, but I thought I'd start looking for mixing help now anyway. Most of the songs don't have vocals yet and we have a few leads still left to record. I'm looking at doing this in the coming couple of weeks.

So: if you're interested, please post your rates and examples of your work, and I will get back to you. Thanks muchly!

Thanks so much to everyone for the interest! A whole lot of talented people have PM'd me about this, but I have made my final decision and will not be requiring any further offers. The thread can be locked if there's a mod on duty around here. Thanks again!
