Need help finding a new audio interface.

it's come to the point where my mbox mini wont suffice and i need something with a bit more juice, well maybe quite a bit more juice.

I need something that will work with pro tools 9 onwards. preferable within the £500 to £600 max price range.

i seen focusrite just released a new scarlet USB interface that looked pretty interesting. anyone had any experience with the firewire stuff they do? I can use either fire wire or USB. With around 8 inputs, as many xlr ins as possible. Preferably rack mountable, can be either bus/none bus powered.

For that price, maybe check out the Profire 2626? It's firewire, and compatible with ProTools, and it appears the price has dropped a lot recently. (Paid $500 for mine, used....and only used it like 5 times so far!)

I'm tempted to sell mine and get a USB 8-input as my better computer doesn't have FireWire and it's sketchy tracking 8 channels on my shit older computer.

Is the Focusrite pro 40 an option? it's around 350 euros secondhand here, even new it's in your price range. FW though.
