Hello,
I'm working on a solo EP at the moment, but I'm pretty new to recording anything other than basic demos. I'm coming to the later stages of writing and recording, so I'm starting to think about the production side of the process. Below I have a clip from one of the songs I'm working on that I have done a test mix on. The bass is pitch shifted guitar at the moment (the final draft will have real bass), so the bass sounds pretty silly at times. Aside from that, I just want opinions on how things sound and if there are any things I need to drastically change for when I start really mixing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Guitars and bass: LTD M-350 -> Line 6 Toneport UX8 -> Revalver, Amplitube, and PODFarm
Drums: Steven Slate + random samples found here
