CoF is one of my fav bands, but I probably like only about 3 of their covers (including Hallowed Be Thy Name). The majority of them are done in such a pointless fashion - a growing trend among a lot of bands these days. Its rather cliche for when a band releases and EP, that they string together a few pointless covers.

There's campy, funny bad, which COF used to be, and then there's steaming pile of shit bad, which is what they are now. I still listen to Dusk and Her Embrace, Cruelty and the Beast, and Midian sometimes for kicks.

Yeah they kind of went to shit after Midian. But Damnation And A Day
is kind of listenable for a few songs.

I said bathory was raw rock/thrash... not a rock band. You can hear rock influences in older bathory and venom regardless what you think.

I mentioned every song is bathory because you make it out as they're the first metal band or heavy band you moron. Heavy and extreme music existed before them.

Not to mention that was the worst Maiden cover.. EVER.. Perhaps Gravewurm's Fear of the Dark is just as shitty.. but no one tops it.. Even Six Feet Blunder dont fuck up maiden like CoF did. Christo.
