Need Help

Apart from practice.... how in the hell do you do the fast tremolo picking for Death Metal? My arm always dies in the arse when I try playing. I try and relax the arm as much as possible but it always seems to tense up.

Anyone have any ideas?

Try to build up some muscles =P You need stamina on it, it seems. You need to practice longer and harder for a while, your body will adapt in time. But tremolo picking isn't that hard, is it possible you're holding the pick too tight or something?

If your whole arm is dying, I think your technique may be off. Im sure people do it differently, but I dont think that much of your arm is needed for tremolo picking. I just looked at my arm while doing it and I'm just slightly rolling my arm/wrist back and forth, almost looks like I have a tremor.
