Need professional info and advice on a DIGI 002 rack

I just got a DIGI 002 rack (yeah I know the new one is out but better late than never eh?) and I am planning to be doing some recording than involves some drums, This is one of those swiss army knife kinda drum sets (4 rack toms, 2 floor toms, Cymbals up the ass, 2 kick drums, and a snare.) Unfortunately I have only 4 preamps in the digi 002 rack.... and apparently they suck and that just won't do. So I will finally get to the point, My friend has a Profire 2626 that was planning to ADAT into my 002 rack and then use those preamps. WILL THIS WORK? I understand that the profire is M-Audio but through ADAT will this work?

yep, that setup should work, so you'll just be using the 002 as a dongle for PT.

Just make sure to set the sync on your 002 to external/adat. You will find this in the hardware settings.

i have the rack setup and have used it countless times with a motu 8 pre or profire with no issues, solid unit!!
