Need som ehelp! Mix comparison! Goes to press this week!

Thanks...Got the masters finished! It makes me feel a lot better to hear others say they thought the first one sounded better.

Vocals were recorded with a cheap $120 Samson C03 condenser. Now I've never owned high priced condensers, but I've been around quite a number in studios. For the price I paid, I feel like I get great results with this mic.

Vocals were all double tracked, with another 2-4 backup vocal tracks in spots on some songs. The main vocals in every song are doubled 100%, though. I grouped them and compressed them with RVox, boosted 1KHz and 10KHz by around 2 dB's with a wide Q, and added a VERY slight reverb to the main tracks (quick decay and a low wet/dry ratio).

Doubling screamed vocal tracks are probably my favorite thing to do for this style.

By doubled do you mean a quick copy-paste type thing or a two completely different takes?
