Hey dudes and dudesses,

since Manticora is touring your country in less than a month, I was wondering how the weather is in the various states/cities that we are visiting? I am asking, since we really don't want to bring too much clothing, if it's not necessary...overweight in the planes is pretty f**king expensive these days with the oil prices etc., and we are already loaded with guitars, basses, keyboards an so on.

So - if you live in one of the cities that we'll visit on the tour, could you please be so nice and let me know the generel temperatures of your place in late September/early October?

Thanks sweet people, and may the beer be with you:kickass:

Lars

Lars,

Schaumburg, IL (Chicagoland Area) @ Chicago City Limits. Late September/ Early October is generally just a little cool. The temperature in my experience falls between 60 degrees farenheit to about 75 degrees farenheit. I would probably pack a light jacket. Nothing too fancy but it can get a little cool here in the fall. Long pants would be best as shorts would be out of fashion by then. Can't wait to see you guys play. Its been way too long.

It should range from high 70s (~25 celcius) for you to high 60s (~19.5 celcius) during the day (differing from Atlanta to Detroit), and then as low as high 40s (~8.5 celcius) at night.

Hey Lars,

Detroit, Michigan, on October 3 will probably be from about 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit, or (roughly) 15-24 degrees Celsius. About what The_Q said Illinois would be like.

But Michigan is very unpredictable, and we've been known to have temperatures dip down into the forties during the summer/fall (about 5 degrees Celsius) or climb as high as the eighties (about 27 degrees Celsius).

Best bet, though: Expect temperatures around 65 degrees Fahrenheit/18 Celsius when you're here. Probably no need for a jacket. Jeans and a long-sleeve shirt would do it. Maybe even a short-sleeve shirt.

It could be raining, though. So be prepared for wet weather.

Bill

Yeah, the Detroit Chicago areas are gonna have the most unpredictable. I'm not suggesting heavy coats, but a hooded sweatshirt would be wise just in case. I think you'll be fine with that.

Actually... that gives me a good idea for souvenirs from Detroit for youz guyz....

October is a great time of year to tour with some of the best weather in most of the states. Temps usually can still be pretty warm during the day and usually stay at least 10 degrees above freezing at night. For the NYC area, I found a site with these average figures:
October:
average rain = 3.1" or 7.9cm
average temps = high - 65F or 18C low - 49F or 9C

Here's another site that gives temperature ranges for each state by month. Looking at your tour schedule, Detroit would probably be the coldest spot and the websites are giving it about the same temp. range as NY. So, a hoody, some jeans and short sleeve T-shirts and one or two long sleeve T's should do the trick. Maybe one pair of shorts in case it's still hot in Atlanta. No need for a heavy coat, though a light waterproof jacket could come in handy if it rains.

Hope that helps. Safe travels! Looking forward to the tour.

Lars, doesn't matter what you wear as long as YOU do wear something. I've seen the pictures, not a pretty sight!:lol: Good luck on the tour brother, looking forward to seeing you - Billy

Thank you all of you. I think I have the info I need.....we'll just bring clothes as if we'd be in Florida all the tour, and get shit-faced to keep warm..:-)

Nah - we'll stay on the right side and bring the right clothes.

Once again - thanks..:-)

Lars

That's the problem with a country as expansive as the US. It'll be 80 degrees one place and 2 ft of snow somewhere else ;).
