I just finished recording a demo for my friends band to help get their name out, but, alas, I need some help.
My main problem is with the drums.
The kick sounds boxy as all hell and I can't seem to fix it with eq. On top of that, i tried to sample replace it, but I could not find a single kick that sounded good for this type of song.
The snare was super ringy (St. Anger style, haha) and I can't get it to sound very up-front. once again, I searched, but could not find a sample I really thought fit.
I think the bass might be too boomy as well in some parts, any suggestions?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and great thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
