Ok, you're going to hear some random kick drum at the beginning but it's because I rendered the middle of the track haha, this is a very small clip of the song. What I need is some advice on how to get rid of the weird fizzy/gurgly sound in the gain.

Tried cutting different frequencies but it doesn't help and cutting the gain/drive down on the screamer or the amp doesn't either (Pod farm).

Thanks guys,

Trevor

This is without a bass guitar or vocals as well... Rough mix, bad compression :p

NO one??? Come on guys, I know someone can help :) I took out some 4k which helped with the fizz, but that's on that recording, meaning the fizz you hear is after the 4k cut...

And just for the record the reason I posted this section of the song was because that dissonant low chord brings out the fizz the worst

If you try in the amp/tube screamer/Eq and still remains the fizz, maybe it´s time to try another type of sound or impluses.

Well here is a new tone, still a bit fizzy on the ringouts of that chord, but better it seems.

And advice on compression, EQ? I would prefer the guitars to sit better... Seems like they stand out, especially that wooshy/fizzy gain... Aka can anyone point me in the right direction about compression on guitars? Even if it's something to read, because I have been looking and everyone just seems to point to "start with Andy's c4 settings", but I have Ozone 3 and ReaComp and that's about it, and c4's claim to fame is partly in their curves and not using a ratio or whatever, that thing that is set to -8 on Andy's c4.

And here is another section of the song, any advice on getting the tremolo to be chunkier? More gain = more fizz, worse tone, but current gain
or less gain = not enough chunk in the notes, some of the tremolo notes (especially some of the high ones) seem to lose their chunky
palm-muted feel with this, but this new tone is the Diamond Plate with Screamer and Gate, which is used by many, so it's not the amp/cab choice.
Hi-pass at 50 and low-pass at 12k, with a cut at 200ish Hz and another at 4k Hz. Here it is:

Thanks again guys,
