erm...i'm a pretty open minded metal fan, but i just havent heard much of the extreme(i mean death, black and grind) stuff
so, if there is any bands i must hear or albums i must own or worth listening to, can you please tell me

hm... if you don't mind some battle and viking lyrics try the finnish death/power band Ensiferum, they're quite melodic and accessible and should be a good start on your extreme metal odyssey

BRODEQUIN - Festival Or Death, also Devourment and Disgorge (Californian, not Mexican or Canadian). Bands like these will either change Your perception of music and death metal and You will fall in love with them instantly (like I did) or You will be stuck in the old circles forever.

Grindcore - Napalm Death "From Enslavement to Obliteration" OR Terrorizer "World Downfall"
