Sandman Comics :worship:

Best. Comic Books. Ever.

I got Preludes and Nocturnes last night as an early birthday present, finished it last night, went through comic book withdrawl all day during school. And I still have yet to start on the next volume, The Doll's House. I'd love to know if there are any others here who are fans of the series, and if you aren't, you should become one right now.
*goes off to check out the 5 billion threads she missed after not being here for 2 days*

I've read the first two or three issues...pretty damn good stuff. However, Gaiman's best work is by far his fiction.

EVERYONE SHOULD READ AMERICAN GODS. IF YOU DON'T READ AMERICAN GODS, YOU ARE UNWORTHY.

Neverwhere and the short story collection Smoke And Mirrors kick ass too. But seriously, read American Gods, it's one of the best books ever.

Fucking aye! I've been reading Gaiman novels and comics since the early 90's. Pyrus: check out Good Omens. Not as good as American Gods but still a solid work.

Gaiman was working w/Jim Henson Productions on an americanized version of Neverwhere as well as a new feature film called Mirrormask. I can't wait.

Neverwhere kicked so much ass. I read that book in 3 days...I could not put it down. My friend Carrie, who is also an author, is friends with Neil Gaiman (supposedly)

The Sandman is a great series, though not one of my favorites of all time. I'm not much of a book reader, though (well, not much of a REAL book reader, I love comics), but I'm probably gonna buy the BBC production of Neverwhere soon.

Watchmen was pretty damn good...didn't really like the ending though, and I couldn't fucking STAND Jon.

Transmetropolitan is my favorite comic.

Pancakes, I have the DVD of Neverwhere...it's decent...but since it's the BBC, it's kind of cheap, so don't expect anything real flashy

Plus, the guy who plays Richard Mayhew kind of looks like Paul McCartney :erk:

It's worth it. I rented it and watched all 3 discs about 3 times.

American Gods \m/

...and being the Pratchett fanboy I need to read Good Omens. Borrowed Neverwhere too, but the translated version might not be that good...
