In 2010 Norwegian composer/musician Andreas Nergård began the work for a Melodic Metal-opera entitled Memorial for a Wish which will be released on two separate albums (part 1 & part 2). The ambitious composer brought along some very respected and well-known singers/instrumentalists on this project:
Åge Sten Nilsen (Wig Wam), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, Ex Gamma Ray), Göran Edman (Karmakanic, Ex Yngwie Malmsteen), Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind), Mike Vescera (Ex Yngwie Malmsteen, Ex Loudness), David Reece (Bangaloir Choir, Ex Accept), Helge Engelke (Fair Warning, Dreamtide), Tony Mills (Tnt, Ex Shy), Michele Luppi (Michele Luppi Band, Los Angeles), Andi Kravljaca (Silent Call, Seventh Wonder).

The story of the metal opera - Dublin, Ireland, 1890: The young man Peter O'Donnell is arrested and wrongfully accused for a burglary which he did not commit. After a short trial he is sentenced to prison for twenty years. In desperation he is forced to leave his pregnant wife behind and live in solitude behind the prison walls. Twenty long years passes by and Peter is released from jail, only to find out that his beloved wife died many years ago while giving birth to their daughter. The friends he once had turn their backs on him and let him face the grief all alone. This eventually tears him apart. As the hands of sorrow and despair becomes too much to handle he ends up committing suicide.

The first album is finished and will be released in the first part of 2013 along with a high-class music video featuring Tony Mills from TNT. Here's a sample video of the album:
