Nevermore off ProgPower?!?!!

Sorry...this is not true. The label has nothing to do with booking shows...that responsibility falls squarely on the band & their booking agent. Of course the label may give the band their opinion on what they think would be a better move for their career, but they certainly are not the ones making that decision.

I'm going to guess that when the Disturbed tour got postponed, Nevermore was probably given an all-or-nothing option of doing the tour when it was re-scheduled. At that point it was the band's decision, most likely per their booking agent's recommendation, to pick the Disturbed tour over PP.

I'm not certain of course, but I would take that bet!

woops! either way, the Disturbed tour WAS a smarter move, in either case

I just checked the Disturbed homepage, and there's no mention of Nevermore in their tour dates. This is very insulting as Nevermore's a very much respected band in the metal community. Just because Disturbed's a commercial band doesn't make em any FUCKING special. Nevermore must remove themselves from that tour. They should tour w/ some other band(s), but not these guys. Also, they must go ahead w/ ProgPower USA 7 cuz every1's been dreaming for Nevermore to be in ProgPower. And FUCK Century Media if they refuse Nevermore to opt out from the Disturbed tour.

Good luck guys!!!

Yep... I could have sworn they mentioned a headlining US tour a few years back. Never saw it yet. It is a shame that the US just doesn't like the band much. Seriously, I always hear people bitch about this and that with Nevermore, namely the vocals. 'Tis a shame, because I think Nevermore smokes nearly every other band in the US in terms of all-around technical prowess.

Ah well, I will just sit and wait again... or move to Europe someday.

As much as it sucks for PP, I most certainly agree.

Disturbed tour > PPUSA in terms of a career move...if for no other reason, at least they'll be playing in front of many potential new fans as opposed to playing in front of ppl who are mostly already their fans...most of which have already seen Nevermore at one point or another.

The disturbed tour was already a rescheduled one from last year before it was re-cancelled and re-rescheduled. Most of the tickets were sold out last yr before Nevermore were even known to be supporting. So the majority of the shows will be to fans totally ignorant about the band...so it opens up MASSIVE new markets.
