It should be deathly illegal to indicate a copyright without actually getting the item in question copyrighted.

Actually, Will is right, and once you post pictures online, you should, if you don't want others to use it, put your copyright on it.

i`ve had enough troubles with ppl selling my pictures on ebay ...

sure it`s not an "unremovable" copyright, but it makes the thing more difficult :|
