New band Ophidian started by Matthew Wicklund and Tony Laureano

Matthew Wicklund (ex-HIMSA) and Tony Laureano (ex-Nile, Malevolent Creation, Dimmu Borgir, Angelcorpse) have started a new metal band. After Tony completes his US tour with 1349 in the next couple of weeks, they are going to continue writing and working on a demo as well as holding auditions for bass, second guitar and vocals. Very cool demos. The writing is tight, the melodies exciting, and the riffs are memorable. Can't wait to hear it fleshed out. You have a great gift at writing contrasting parts which is so rare in metal. Good job.

Thank You! I am glad that you like it! We also can't wait to get these recorded properly with all elements in place. I'm working on a new one right now that I hope to have up there in a day or two. This one is a bit faster and more intense but still maintains the same kind of dynamic.
