Hello fellow metal heads,
At the urging of Mr. Hawk of the old school forum, I registered to drop in & say hi. I've been to this site several times just reading what others have to say, so I thought I'd better make an official entry on behalf of my band, Icarus Witch.
I don't have to say any cliche's like "keep it true" or "stay heavy" because you all are obviously the real deal, otherwise you wouldn't be on such a kick ass forum. So for those who haven't heard of Icarus Witch, we're a traditional "old school" Heavy Metal band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Our influences are vast but many in the press have drawn comparisons to early Savatage, Mercyful Fate, Maiden, Malmsteen, Dio (& his era of Rainbow & Sabbath), Priest, Crimson Glory, Sanctuary, Queensryche, Cirith Ungol, Arch-era Fates Warning, etc. We're honored by any such comparisons and hope to continue crafting our own unique style as well.
To those already in the know, thanks for supporting the Witch and we look forward to coming to a stage near you!
