New Carvin 8-Strings DC800

Got a heads up on these from a friend:

27" scale, active pickups that are a standard size.

Look pretty sweet!

They have new 7's too, with active pickus that are also a standard size. So in theory easy swapping.

About fucking time. I already got mine over a year ago though and had to go through the whole re-routing trouble to change pickups.

Great guitars btw, I hope now that it's easier to change pickups they will get more popular.

Where did you see that the pickups were standard size? They look like EMG size to me and I can't find dimensions or any mention of it. Maybe I'm just blind....

Hmm... I can't actually find it on the 8-string one. But this is on the 7-string one:

"The DC700 comes equipped with Carvin's new direct-mount A70N & A70B pickups, with industry-standard size pickup routing for easy swapping."

I guess I just assumed it would be the same for the 8's.
