thanks. when you say 'the tone is very interesting', do you mean the guitars or overall mix itself? i'd be curious to know. i thought it was kinda ordinary.

here are few mix details:
*reaper daw
*2 guitars, podxt->impulses (fredman edge L / fredman angled R)
*pearl export kit, snare,kick,3toms all close mic'd and OHs. samples on kick,snare and toms - all blended.
*Modern's analoger, cockos ReaXcomp (multiband comp), classic's master limiter on master bus (me "trying" to master and doing an awful job)

not sure what else you'd like to know. a LOT of stuff going on, would be happy to elaborate if you have specifics.
