New DevilDriver...

In listening to this over and over, sounds like Slate's Black snare perhaps with EQ or blending or something. The low end of that snare almost sounds too boxy for this mix, though.

.....and, the drums panned drummer perspective?!?!?!

FUCK YES, new stuff - TLKW has been on constant rotation in my car for a few weeks now, it's the ultimate driving music (especially when you drive a manual transmission :D) - to me they're the perfect blend of thrash and, I dunno, groove or something

"By any chance do you like speed metal?"

Back on topic, it's a pretty awesome song. I'm really looking forward to this album.

Logan Mader definitely has his own sound established. He's really fucking good, too.

agreed! most everything i've heard from him is fucking killer and HUGE sounding. his drum sounds, while not my personal preference, are punchy as FUCK.

can't slag any of this... sounds amazing.. anything you dudes don't like is just because you have different aesthetics...

rock on

I gotta say, Logan Mader is a name I had never heard until people started talking about "The Way of All Flesh" - is he an up-and-comer, or has he done a fair amount of stuff that I'm just not aware of? Either way, seems like the dude has some talent!

He was the original 2nd guitarist in Machine Head (Burn my eyes), then was the lead guitarist for Soulfly during the first tour of the debut CD came out. A few other low profile acts, a stint known as "Low G" (complete with an ESP sig Ultra tone), and now producer!

DL wont fucking work. Gay. looks like ill have to youtube it or some shit cuz you KNOW someone will/has post/ed it.

Cool, thanks for the lowdown, should've figured he'd cut his teeth in the scene for awhile!

Logan is one of my favorite mixers/producers. I think he has done some really good stuff!
It´s quite funny, iirc, the DD guys wrote that they "at last had a personal guitar sound" (probably due to Logan)... To me it sounds very similar to their last album and it turns out Sneapster reamp them..

Great mix none the less! The drums are a bit loud, but as someone else wrote, that seems to be the shit right now.
