Seems really poppy to me, not bad - but I will reserve judgment after listening to the entire album. I really like Two Poets and was hoping they'd go more in that direction.

Disappointing. The energy and uniqueness that they had in their first few albums seems gone.

I think it's a great song. As hoodaman said, very sing-along friendly and very catchy. It's poppy, but so what?

By the way, their new album is pretty good too. =)

And Claus, you're just getting old...

Purveyor, that doesn't make any sense to me. I don't hear A7X in there at all. This song is honestly, as Claus said, high school stuff.

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Sugar is Sweet
Is fucking catchy too

Doesn't make it good.

Hey, I like it. Elvenking is one of those bands that i seem to just like all their stuff. Now I will admit it looks that they would play Warp Tour and not ProgPower now. But hey who cares, they are just trying to sell more albums, well either that or they are just guyliner guys. Either way, it is still fun music and if you dont like it, you dont have to listen to it.

Wow!!!!

I've listening a lot to Elvenking lately and was really looking forward to some new stuff. However, this was brutally bad.

Eurovision Song Contest - Here we come....

I know my opinion here is going to be very much a solid bet, and I know this is going to seem incredibly biased, because, lets face it, who's got their mouth around this bands nutsack more than me, but I don't understand the rampant hate for this song, even objectively. It's a catchy tune, a fun song to sing, and I really, really enjoy the music. I get the band's very "HIM" image isn't everyone's cup of mead, to be frank, it's not really mine either. Beyond that, here's a group of guys who're and always have been, making music they enjoy making and I think it stands out in their work. There's a lot of passion in it. The video? It's interesting. I don't necessarily understand the twirling ribbon, but metal videos aren't ever really ground breaking for small bands, are they?

I guess I just don't hear the incredibly simple songwriting most of you do. I hear a song I want to listen to.

Anyway, I like the song, and I remember this exact reaction with the video release of "The Divided Heart", and I seem to remember the Scythe grew on people. I, for one, am really excited to hear the new album.
