New Every Time I Die (Joe Barresi)

Yeah you must have had them confused.... they've been around and sounded pretty consistently rockin for like a decade now.

Love the song but I'm not digging the production, it sounds like absolutely nothing is upfront, it's way to smooth for this sort of music in my opinion. Also its just a tiny bit loose which is awesome for most parts but the breakdowns sound a little funky. Keith's vocal also sounds a little thin in spots :(

Kinda sucks as Every Time I Die are one of my absolute favorite bands.

Just to add something, no disrespect to Joe Barresi. I love his work and he has tracked / mixed some of my favorite sounding records, this record doesn't sound bad I feel it's just missing the mark in a few spots.

Yup, loving the pumping and paddy analogue low-end. These are the aesthetic qualities that have you listening to a record in 10 years and saying 'ahhh nice, it doesn't sound dated'. Not sure how I feel about the music though. The only thing I have to relate it to musically is Underoath - similarly annoying vocals, but the music seems decent.

I take back what I said this morning, I just heard it on my monitors and well... Fuck. It works really well, for some reason this record doesn't like my car.

Cranked this on the way home from work, and yes I definitely had wax in my ears or something. This record vibes so much when it's turned up! I'm still not the biggest fan of the kick, it works in slower passages but gets a little flabby in double kick runs.

Really not a fan of the music or the production. And especially not the vocalist, but I never was. Like others said way too smooth sounding and kinda muddy.

Agreed on excessive smoothness of the guitar tone...BUT, holy shit, that low-end pumping is intoxicating - and the chorus just kicked in, man, vibe-city, I love it production-wise personally! (music is meh IMO)
