New Finds

[Mountain Man]

I just checked out a few groups that I’ve been reading/hearing about, they are: Gardenian, Callenish Circle, Dew Scented and The Forsaken. They all sound pretty solid. Anyone rock out to these groups?

I have "Flesh_Power_Dominion" by Callenish Circle, and it kicks ass pretty well...

Flesh_Power...is one of the dark horse melodic death gems of this past year IMO. That album has a hard-to-nail-down groove running through it that just inspires headbanging!

Gardenian is pretty damned good too, but it's been a while since I've listened to them.

I kind of "discovered" Fleetwood Mac. I knew their crappy 80's song "Little lies" (that "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies") and it's disgusting, but I have purchased their "Bare trees" from 1972 and "Mystery to me" from 1973 and they have some solid tracks! On "Mystery to me" there's a really "delicious" chiller song called "Hypnotized" which I can strongly recommend! I can also strongly recommend "Keep on going" from the same record! Groovy rock as good as it gets! I can forgive them for doing "Little lies" when they do stuff like this! After all, it was the 80's and you had to be gross, disgusting and make music that's the same!

Dew Scented are one of my favourite bands at the moment - excellent band! Inwards is such a frenetic thrash record...
