To be honest for me the performance has the biggest influence on how 'good' things sound . A poorly executed demo no matter how good the gear does nothing for my gas . No doubt a lot of people will blindly follow random opinions . A couple of guy's I really trust have pushed me towards ordering the axe fx but I know I can rely on their opinions totally . Most of the axe clips have done nothing for me but the few that have caught my attention have helped convince me the unit is diverse enough to suit my needs . As far as metal sounds go Ola's clips certainly proved to my ears at least that it can do metal tones well . Now I just have to continue waiting for the thing to turn up 6 months and counting .

Hi there Kev I received the G66 email as well saying a small number will arrive in june and more after . I ordered mine in Dec last year when did you order yours ? I still don't think I will get one of the first batch but you never know .

This! As well as a direct preamp comparison of a real 5150 preamp and the simulation by running it into the 5150 poweramp.

Ideally this would be done for more amps, but I hope how well they mimic the 5150 will be representative of the others.
