New Fractal Audio Product in 5 day's

Hm, kinda less "digital" high end, maybe because it has less high end. What happens when you boost the highs? Does it get annoying? ;)

Oh yeah, what IR was that? :)

Hmm well I tried putting up the high end some but it sounded to real so I turned them back down :)

The IRs in the Recto clip I guess would be Guitarhack.

In the 5150 clip could it be Jockes duktiga?!?! I'm not really sure but big chance.

ola, what midi interface did you use to update the firmware?
i cant make it work with any interface, not even my focusrite 56 works...
just crashes halfway through...

btw. the difference seems super subtle... have yout tried micing the axe with the new firmware yet?
maybe ittll be less harsh in the "real world"...

Ola i have a question too haha. When you use IR's like the Guitarhack ones do you turn off the poweramp simulation in the axe fx?

He's a question for existing Axe users, what's you signal flow for reamping?

I'm curious about the Axe-fx II USB port, I'm finding this snippet a little confusing

"An Audio Class 2.0 compliant USB interface is provided for both audio streaming and remote control/communication. You can record the Axe-Fx II main outputs on your connected PC or Mac, and on USB 2.0 systems, simultaneously capture a 3rd "dry" track for re-amping later. You can also monitor or process computer audio tracks with the Axe-Fx II, and high speed MIDI-over-USB eliminates the headaches of 3rd party legacy MIDI interfaces for remote control, backup and restore, or Axe-Edit sessions."

Does that mean the USB signal is DI only? Could you send a DI signal to and from the Axe via USB for reamping?

I have no authority on that, but I'm pretty sure that's the idea. Hell, you can do this with a POD.

Gotta say I'm not really impressed by those clips. In fact some of them sound more digital than before :zombie:

With the axe 1 (present FW) and axe 2 it really just depends on the player and not on the gear any longer how good the sound becomes. :D

I am pretty sure most of the beta testers where chosen for skills to do with weeding out bugs etc rather than their playing ability or ability to program patches . Those clips are a compilation of different guy's and most of the playing is sketchy at best . It won't be until the masses get hold of the unit that it's true potential will be known . I am pretty sure in the right hands it will kick some arse . ( I do think fractal should have been better prepared with clips and stuff , why there are no endorsee demos is beyond me - clearly they don't need quality promotion as the product seems to sell it's self )

Well I own a Fryette Sig X, so was curious about his VHT demo. It sounded awful and muddy! Not sure how he got that sound!!!

I didn't listen to them all, but they all seem muddy and muffled to me. Maybe his guitar, I dunno.

Scott Peterson is a moderator on the FA forums, I believe he's the owner of The gear page as well. His clips has always sounded like that though, it's just the tone he goes for. I don't believe any of the betatesters are in to the real brootz, so don't expect any interesting clips until it's released.

Looks like this is going to drag on .........

''We are hoping to have units ready to ship by June 6th. The chassis are way behind schedule. The motherboards are finished and waiting for the chassis.

I was reluctant to respond because people have a way of twisting whatever I say so I will state this "There will be NO guarantees of ANY sort as to availability"
