new gear need help.

I looking for a good preamp for about 600 - 800 dollars that will work great on vox and miced guitars, also for DI Bas.

anyone have something or tried anything you can recommend?

I have looked at:
5050 MkII, TL Audio
UA-S610, Solo 610

But havent tried anyone of those...and Its alot of money for me so any opinion would be great!

...you can get a single used API for about that... usually...

yea I have read about the UA, looks good but then, which one tube or solid state? is it like color or no color ?

I saw one guy that wanna sell a api 312 preamp for 550dollars..its that any good?
