new gizmo ideia!!!!

Indeed, I can see this getting used in many studios if it can do everything a human can do :) Well actually, only the movement and rotation is needed because that is what mic stances are limited to, so once you have the basic mechanism for that and make a nice product, you'll never need to work again :D

lol why stop there? Make brain and alow it to remember placement, so that way you don't have to re-adjust everytime. With that said you'd have to find some way to place the device in the same area everytime for the mic to be placed in the same place as the last time. That way you can just load up a preset menu "on axis" or "off axis" etc

...or maybe I should leave the ideas to you

I've seen motorized vocal mic stands, but those only move up and down to quickly change between two settings for 2 vocalists... So this idea really is fresh, I think studios would really use these. I know I would.

Yeah of course, it depends on how far you wanna take it. If you're going to add placement remembering functions you should maybe consider making a "basic" version and a "pro" version. Maybe not everyone would pay for everything in one package :)

Dude... seriously, this will make money.

i've thought of this for a while and gone nahh too much work seeing as i have no experience with such things.......... but if you can pull it off i'm sure it'd sell!

oops sorry for the double post

I know very little about the logistics, but it doesn't seem like it'd be overly hard to do, cuz despite the fact that it'd need to be capable of extremely subtle movements, a mic isn't exactly heavy, so it's not like it'd put too much strain on the components! But yeah, it'd definitely be important to have it move on an x/y axis, as well as swiveling left/right (I hesitate to use the word rotate cuz I don't mean like spinning the mic, which of course would be pointless). In the words of Sloan, DEW IT BRAH!!!!!

This is real funny, I actually had the exact same idea a couple of months ago... Too lazy to do anything out of it though.

Anyway, I´d buy it!
