New Guitar Project Day...

Ha. Don't worry I am to lazy to put another body on the old ibby rg. I haven't played it in around ten years, I bought it as a back up. It's just been in storage.

I just sold my old Ibanez Jem built in 1989 a couple months ago. The 760 is so close to the Jem I figured I didn't need two nearlly identical guitars around.

The RG760 body is beat to hell though, but the neck is still good.

This will kick you in the balls guru. I paid 250 bucks for the RG760 in a pawn shop.

Nice work, finish is good as I really like seeing the grain of the wood, it makes it look organic in a good way. How much do you estimate it cost to assemble? I would love to be able to do this as project in the future, just need to move somewhere with a garage / workshop, living in a flat has major downsides!!

Is it just the picture or is the floyd riding a bit high?

Thanks men.

I love the finish!
got the exact names/numbers of the stain and poly you used? I Wanna do this to my Warwick :D

Both are Australian mega-hardware store stuff.
Black stain: "Feast Watson" prooftint black
Clear coat: British paints clear polyurethane satin

I'm sure any old black stain + satin clear from your part of the world will do the trick.

Best part about this finish is no grain filling/wet sanding bullshit.

Cost roughly $1000us not counting time/effort
The trem was a bit high in the pic. Forgot to lower the rout after lowering the neck pocket. Fixed now.
Needs a re-fret and brass trem block then it's done.
