I'm a new member who found this site while searching for recording tips for metal guitar.
A bit about me: old-time metal fan who is just now getting back into it. A guitar player who never learned music theory who is now trying to retrain his brain into understanding theory. A claims adjuster for a major insurance company who desperately wants to work in the music industry (and will, if it kills me).
Looking forward to getting up to speed on more new metal. So far, I've discovered Trivium, Mastodon, In Flames, and a couple of others.
