New Instrumental Song

[storming heaven]

I've finally finished this song after few months of fuckin with it. This is a mid tempo metal tune with some angry verses and melodic choruses. Guitars are Legion, Drums are superior with some samples added and lots of processing. Bass is just my guitar with an octave low processing. It would be cool to read your critics in terms of the mix itself and songwriting. If you need any details just ask.

Sounds great from here.
The toms could be louder as some fills at the beginning sound lost in the mix.

Get some vocals on that bad ass tune. Maybe someone here could help you out.
Again, great tune and the overall mix is good.

Thanks man! The room I'm mixing don't have an acoustic treatment so I'm a little bit shy when mixing bass frequencies, but I'll look into the toms. Wish I had a mic, I could try some vocals, but till I find a mic or a vocalist who knows his/her job I'll stick to instrumental.

what samples did you use for kick & snare? i like the songwriting.

Kick is faderhead's samples. Snare is mostly superior's nir z snare with nsguitar's snare sample blended. Of course both have processing on them with room mics influencing snare especially. I also used parallel comp for a punchier sound.

I also edited the first post. Toms should be more louder and overall mix is louder.
