New Interview

Isn't it obvious? He is de_aztec

I don't think the aztecs has that good internet-connection.
Although I must say, I really hope a hurricane kills his family.

Well i guess i don't have much of a response to that, since i don't really care what you say

Ugh, it's Vusheeeeeek all over again...

I wonder what he's talking about... ;) hahaha

What's your problem this time? You're gonna bitch about me asking a few questions, when some guy is wishing death on my family?

At least spell it right FFS.

That was a joke, Don Vueyshuey...

No, it's just funny how you're always complaining about your memory space, internet connection speed, etc. The thing is it would have taken less memory and such to have just looked at the page (which is not a video btw) and if it was a video you could have just closed out of it than to have spent as much time as you did posting the questions. I felt mexicola's responses were not only funny but also appropriate for the most part. The thing you were better at than just being an obnoxious troll under your former moniker was actually stirring up fights, as you demonstrated here.

I stirred up a fight here? Lol ok.

It would have taken even less time, space, effort if the OP had of even a little bit of description rather than just a link. It seems like courtesy to me to at least detail a link you post, and maybe should be an enforceable rule as it would stop people from linking to malicious and/or retarded sites.

It doesn't cost me much memory to peruse this forum because the majority of it is already downloaded and saved in temporary internet files, apart from new text and possibly a poster's enormous GIF image.

I agree. It irks me when someone posts a link with little to no information on what it leads to. If I had some sort of restriction on my internet use, I probably would have been bitching about it for years now.

Same thing as with most 3G connections in Sweden... when you're over 1GB transfer per month *BLAM*, down to 30kbit/s. And the weird thing that people don't seem to mind to pay for all the bloody ads when using 3G connections. The first thing I'd was to switch over to Firefox and install all kinds of adblockers and whatnot.

He probably just clicked a bunch of porn links, got spyware, and now thinks all video links are designed to slow down your internets.

http://personal.optus.com.au/web/oc...FP=/personal/internet/broadband&site=personal (It is under the terms and conditions tab thingy.)

Read this, it's not the plan i'm on (it's actually better) but you'll get the point. "°Data usage will be counted in Megabytes (MB) and includes both uploads and downloads. If you exceed your monthly data allowance, access will be speed limited to 64 or 128kbps depending on your plan until the end of the billing month."

Usually the consequence from exceeding the cap is a speed penalty imposed, or a fee per extra gig downloaded, so there isn't alot of options.

No amount of porn spyware could slow down a cable / broadband computer this much.

I have NEVER heard of such restrictions on the internet usage. Doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah, it's frustrating and annoying considering most other nations don't have them, or at least aren't as prevalent as them. It's only implemented because the horrible, shitty faggots that run the Internet, mobile phone and cable TV industries want to make as much profit as possible. We also pay obscene amounts for our internet, which is slow, prone to dropouts and have internet caps. It's a nightmare and I'm going to do my best to fucking shut it down some way or another.

I can understand you didn't know about caps, but they are very real for me unfortunately, so I have to watch what I download. If my plan had no restrictions like that I would have clicked the link / watched many other interviews without hesitation.

that blows aztec, is that with fiber optic and shit service or just bad all round? my internet currently dominates but i can't do torrents because i'm in a lame ass student building

Well this brought back memories of the many times trying to play de_aztec on a 56k connection back in the CS 1.3 days.

The one potentially redeeming factor of our broadband access here is that the current government administration plans to roll out a massive fiber-optic broadband and telecomm network within the next 8 years. Until then it's 20GB monthly caps, obscene costs and lots of downtime. Till I move back to Europe anyway.

Re: the interview. Mike really sounds like he's over the touring life, doesn't he? Family first, 'job', all that stuff don't lend themselves too well to a person living life on the road. Sounds to me like Opeth might be over before you'd expect it, especially since it seems to be straining on artificially. They definitely had a hell of a run though.

As long as they continue to make records. They could tour less if that would make them still continue as a band.
