New Jersey

N.J.?

There's not another state I'd prefer to live in. Four distinct seasons, amazing restaurants, and tons to do in state. Great schools. 12 pro sports teams in the area. NYC, Philly and the beach are all less than an hour away. Easy access to four international airports. Probably the best job market in the country for high paying jobs (when you consider it's own jobs and proximity to NYC/Philly). Tons of hot chicks. We're smart enough to vote Democratic. Oh yeah... we have Vintage Vinyl... you don't.

LOL ... I never thought of Jersey that way ... not sure about that "great restaurants" bit though :loco:

Really? I've got an Indian restaurant, a steak house and an Italian restaurant, all within 10 minutes of my house that I'd put up against any in NYC. The only difference between the eats in NJ and NYC is quantity, price (driven by real estate cost, not food quality) and that in NYC you're so close to the table next to you, you can't fully extend your arms without knocking over their wine glass. The other great thing about NJ restaurants is a great number of them don't have a liquor license, which means you can bring your own wine. Which for me, is much more preferable. We recently dropped $115 in NYC on a bottle of wine that I could have bought for $45 at the local liquor store.

In all seriousness, I think the jokes about NJ are based solely on a very common travel experience; people visiting NYC fly into Newark airport and then drive to NYC on the NJ Turnpike. They leave thinking the rest of NJ is similar to the NJTP and Newark airport, when nothing could be further from the truth.

i don't know, NJ is nice and all but something is off ... kinda like with British Thrash. Something is just not complete there :loco:

but hey you guys make the news by default again with the airplane landing in the Hudson :loco:

You also get a lot of hate from those who at some point have to go through Camden. What a shit hole. And then those odd people who actually think AC is a nice place and end up journeying outside of the casino/brigantine area. They discover that town is only good for about 10 square miles.

10 square miles? try 2 :loco:

some parts of the Jersey shore are nice, I'll give them that. there is one town there that even managed to plant palm trees and keep them alive along the beach

I can't think of a single reason to ever set foot in New Jersey. It's a suburb of New York City that just happens to fill the boundaries of an entire state. No offense intended towards the the NJ-dwellers here, it's just a fact.
 at the Jersey shore. BLECH

It's actually just a really big road between Philly and NYC.

There are a few really smart people in NJ, though. Like the guy who came up with the idea to put tolls every 3 feet...

How many filthy orange hued guidos would you come across in a 24 hour time span?!?! I don't ever plan to visit this landfill, simply curious.
