New Kiss Album

I'm stoked. The 13 year old in me is weeping.

If it's remotely on par with Psycho Circus I'll be pleased. Paul's solo album was pretty good (the latest one) and it seems he's writing much of the music anyways.

Just keep it out of Gene's hands. Let some pro bassist cut the bass for him and all will be fine.

from what i read everyone in the band is writing tunes and will sing a lead vocal but it seems paul is in charge which is a plus

Psycho Circus was indeed a mixed bag but I get the feeling this album will be better. Why?
When Psycho Circus was released they were in the middle of their "reunion" phase and claiming that the "magic" was back by having all four original members. Years later it was discovered that Ace Frehley and Peter Criss were just hired guns and didn't really bring anything to the table. Neither as songwriters or musicians.
Nowdays KISS are a lot better as a musicians with the addition of Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer and I believe this album will at least sound more solid.

years later :zombie: i could tell after the first few listens that criss didn't play really any of the drums. he has a unique style and none of the drumming sounding like his style of drum fills to me

I would love them to take the paint off and release something inthe vein of Revenge. I know, I know I'm in the minority....
You may be in the minority, but you're not alone. I thought Revenge was a step in the right direction - forward. Instead they chose to go backwards when they reunited with Criss and Frehley.
And by now I'm truly indifferent to seeing them with or without paint.

I'm not as excited about the new album either. I was more excited about hearing Paul's record or maybe even the new Ace Frehley album.
Might be a brown thing, eh? Yo tambien soy Mexicano.....

I am also excited about Ace's new disc! He's doin' Fox On The Run and I loved his cover of Do Ya'! Fox On The Run I always thought had alot of Ace-isms, in the original,by SWEET!

:kickass:
