Yeah, I think that's what made it take a few listens to get into, I was initially a bit disappointed with it. I was hoping to hear Vernon and Doug tearing it up like back in the day. But yeah, it's quite a nice development on their old stuff, the combination of laid back material with some rock, within songs, seems a bit more mature in it's approach (such as in Nightmare City, with it's mellow 'let the children go' part). It's cool though, each of their albums kinda has it's own identity to it, this is just another one in the line
