The amp sounds godly, and I actually prefer the V30s.
The price is beyond absurd. Go Ceriatone and you can get two heads and still have enough money for a V30 equipped 4x12 of your choice. Thus, only for the brand obsessed.
And they did their best to make it look like your granddad's JTM to boot. I'd have to retolex that fucker and put the correct badge on it just to suffer it in the same room as myself.

cool amp. over priced, but its intentionally a collectors piece so the price is justified.
i like the look of it for what it is. i prefer the JMP look though, that cant be beaten. sounds like a JCM800 to me (in other words great).

Is the 800 like VERY different from the 900? I've only played the 900 and HATED it, but people in this forum always rave about how so much better than everything the 800 is. What is the difference? What is it that makes it that good? Isn't it trebly and thin like the 900?

800 is cleaner, thicker sounding, and breaks up wonderfully when cranked. The 900 uses diode clipping unless it's a 900 sl-x. i got rid of the slx ASAP because it was not reliable for me.
