I dig them, but can't really listen to a lot of it.

They have talent, no doubt, and have been doing this sort of stuff for a loooong time. I recall my best friend showing me them when I was like 15 and I couldn't even grasp it because I was too into non-metal music at that time. And that was 15 years ago.

I used to be a huge extreme prog fan, so it's not like the music is above my understanding. I've tried to listen to their albums and they just sound really bland minus a few songs that stuck out.

They have some pretty damn badass lyrics at times too. Not recently, but definitely on some older songs... like Corridor of Chameleons, Closed Eye Visuals, Mind's Mirrors, etc.

It's the whole vibe they give off. Heady, intellectual, psychedelic, futuristic metal with a lot of thought put into it.
