New Meshuggah track online!

Really missing the experimentation. Meshuggah are one of these bands where you expect each new album to be a sensation. This one has very little standout material to it. They sound like a straight-up regular metal band now, doing some polyrhythms to spice up the groove. I love how the slow tempo makes Jens's vocals sound even more vicious and pent-up, but musically it's very uninspired. Doesn't hold a candle to their previous stuff. However, some of this songs WILL destroy live!

Heard it online, boring indeed. Although it has a really thrashy strapping-esque song, a surprise for sure.

Very underwhelmed with the new one. Production isn't much better than anything else they've done since Chaosphere, and really suffers from the lack of low end. There only 2 tracks that I would call great and the rest of it is quite meh.
