Okay Guys and gals, I got this CD the other day, one of only maybe 6 or 7 sent out by the band, and i got to tell you, these boys have found there sound, this cd is a complete 180 from "Mind over Body" This effort is dark, atmospheric, heavy as fuck, and will completely blow their others out of the water. Gone are the abstracts in the other cd's though i thought that was what made them unique. This effort is straight ahead in your face Dark, Heavy Progressive metal.
On this CD you will hear 5 of Brazil's best and I do mean best musicians. They do take the art of their indivual instruments to another level, especially Ricardo Windany on bass, and Rafael Pensado on drums, my god Ricardo will show you that he is one of the best in the world, and the same with Rafael.
I had the opportunity to hear them do 8 of the songs from this CD LIVE!!!!! Holy Crap!!!!!! Unbelievable is all I can say.
So please when NIGHTMARE Records gets this, and I hope it is in stock by PP come by the NIGHTMARE TABLE and get your copy, I will be there pimping it big time.:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

Wow, I need to get a listen! I was a fan of Mind over body, but when you say Dark Heavy Progressive Metal it makes me think of Adagio. I really do hope this is at the merch table at Progpower! I'll be first one there if it is!

The tracks I heard on their myspace sounded better than their previous works. I can't wait to hear this. Now I'm even more upset they had to cancel their Metal Festivus appearance.

So I got my dirty little hands on this bad boy, and I have to say its mediocrity at its finest. Not a thing on this album stands out as overly impressive, and all the magic captured on Mind Over Body is missing. Severely disappointed by my main man Danilo on this one.

I must respectfully disagree with your mediocrity comment. While this disc is not the most brain dazzling thing I've ever heard--I would not allow it to be placed in the 'mediocrity' category.

I've listened to it once through so far and I must say I enjoy it.

Now on first listen:

It shows a more straight-forward and aggressive side than Mind Over Body in my opinion, but I personally like the direction they headed in. Now don't get me wrong when I use the term straight-foward; they didn't exactly simplify their material on Destructive Device, but to my ears they slightly changed direction while still holding true to keeping those expectations people have of what makes Mindflow what it is.

The dialogue towards the end bored me though. I understand concepts having presence within the music, but it is annoying to sit through a whole (what? 3 minute) track of straight dialogue with no accompanying music.

other than that, pretty good disc all around. Definitely worth giving a few more listens to.

and for the record, the disc came from a legit source. :p

Sorry to let you know, as I'm well aware of how you feel about people downloading leaked albums, but the disc leaked a few days ago. Honestly, I don't see why you get so worked up over leaks, especially when the guys give away their albums for free anyway. I still purchase albums, but come on if its right there, I'm not gonna wait. Downloading a leaked album doesn't hurt if I purchase it anyway.

The albums definitely starting to grow on me; however, its still nowhere near Mind Over Body, thats just not happening. Brilliant disc.

It's Mary by the way

Woooooohooooooo I told you it was in the mail. Don't you just love the packaging, and Hey we all made the liner notes

Hmmm mixed reviews, hopefully the $15.00 is worth it. They have a link where you can buy and/or pre-order on their online store.

***** Yay!!! My order is on it's way!!!!!! *****

:headbang: This album fucking rocks! They kick it into High Octane right from the first song and don't stop. I agree this is the heaviest sounding album of the 3 they have out. ( I have all three ) and I'm loving it.
