Im recording a song for a friend and would like some opinions/advice as im not satisfied with my mix. Going to record vocals tomorrow.

Joey Sturgis sub drop that I bought for $5 lol. Gave up trying to make one. I would upload a update of the mix with all the vocals but soundcloud is down

also, what are you using for master compression/loudness? looks kinda funny on soundcloud

Nothing on master yet. I most likely have the drop way too loud. Every time I try to boost the volume after I mix I ruin everything.

Yeah I think you might have a monitoring issue because that sub drop is LOUD AS FUCK.

As far as the mix goes, I think you have it pretty good. I think the guitars could come up just a tad. The harmonized vocals could come up.

As far as the song goes, I wish the melody was more creative.

great mix man!
guitars sound clear and tight as fuck but a bit undergained,
guess that was the compromise that had to be made.
