Trying out some new guitar and bass tones. Bass is just DI with EQ and compression until I find a distortion I like for it (suggestions welcome). Guitars are Revalver MkII. I left a little more low end in the guitars than I normally do, and cut some low mids to compensate.

Thoughts?

i think theres still alot of bass, what are you doin to the guitars?
the lead chord is sounding really artificial though.

All thats on the guitar bus is some eq and compression. HP at 100hz, fairly large cut around 200hz on both guitar and bass to clear up some of that mud. Too much bass might be due to the bass though (took the highpass off that).

Yeah you're probably right. I don't get much bass response on my monitors and my iPod's not working right, so I'll have to take your word for it until I can reference it on other sound systems.

Updated: much less bass, some drum buss limiting to even it out

In respect that guitar sound is emulation I should say it sounds even better than some real amp+cab. But yeah, low end - is main problem guitar emulation, sounds like your voice when you have a runny nose. I think TH1 solved this problem better than Revalver
