They played 7 string and i believe the tunning was G if i remember correct.
I Quad Tracked the rhythm guitars on this one. Yea those slate samples really kick ass I must say!
Yeah, fucking great song and mix! Snare could be a bit louder though.
Yea the limiter is kinda eating the snare as with no mastering the snare sits just fine. Your right though as the snare has its moments were its pretty buried on this mix.
Anyone else have any thoughts??

I was going for a polished 100% on grid sound on drums but are you saying it sounds to mechanical (drum machine) for that gravity blast?

i think it sounds dope! my only qualm: where is the bass guitar? i think that for this genre, its almost supposed to sound triggered/ locked to the grid!
You think its lacking low end in general on the mix or just the presence of the bass guitar in the mix?
both, but more so the presence of the bass i guess. i couldn`t tell there was bass guitar at all. i def. think the lack of bass makes the mix a little funny sounding.

Huh i thought i had decent low end on this. I guess i will have to go back and listen again. I did compare to some other mixes when i was done and thought it was holding its own. Well thats the joy of this forum and having some more ears! thanks for listening.....
