New mix test, (5150 + 7 string+ impulses) Please help with improvements

Hey guys, just finished mixing up this little sample, was wanting a more crunchy high mid metal sound

Hi, sounds good and very thick, but a bit "dark" maybe add a bit more presence and highs?
But that's more a question of taste.

Sounds like a really nice tone to me.. maybe experiment with EQ, maybe more around the 1khz mark, but as the other poster said it's a matter of taste and this sounds like a really good tone!

I added a bit more highs on the EQ see what you guys think i have a tendancy to mix a bit dark first time round, i only have cheap £20 headphones to monitor it

I added in a limiter on the master BUS, Voxengo elephant, its making everything blend in alot better in the mix!!! also added some eqing, around the 1k mark, as suggested above, it does sound a little better with a small boost

Still pretty dark, but kicks ass, now I want to hear it with vocals!

Nice tone you have there! But a bit too much bass in the mix for my taste. But, that's subjective Good job!
