New mods are necessary

Exactly what is the point of having two sections if we're not allowed to discuss whatever we feel like with other like minded Opeth fans? Isn't that what forums are all about after all?

No other forum I've ever been to is even remotely like that. This should be a place for the fans to congregate, and talk about whatever they feel like. But I didn't expect you Vuashke to have a clear understanding of anything logical. Thanks you just reenforced my convictions.

also, i would definetely not call these mods a 'nazi dictatorship'. mr sambo seems very laid back and offers warnings before bans. ive been to much stricter forums than this. i agree with the decision to keep this forum music only

Really? He obviously asks not to be able to post in music related forums, he asks for a new non-music offtopic forum.

And I don't think this place needs a new mod right now, actually.

Tbh, there's hardly going to be anarchy if a book thread etc.. is put up on a 'music' forum.

I really doubt many people care either way though. But considering half the wank on this forum.. A book thread should be the least of people's worries.

Just remember that Samsara doesn't pay for this forum and he doesn't make the rules. I'd be delighted with a bit looser rules, but you can't force it or blame Samsara for it.

Honestly like I said there are plenty of other forums out there that aren't so damn restrictive so if things don't change I have no problem leaving. No skin off anyones back I'm sure, but it's really too bad since there seemed to be a lot of good opinions on other forms of art here besides just music.

Multiple mods wouldn't be a problem. But as Stephen is saying a book thread won't really bring out much anarchy.
